What is Worm Composting?

Worm Composting is using worms to recycle food scraps and other organic material into a valuable soil amendment called vermicompost, or worm compost. Worms eat food scraps, which become compost as they pass through the worm's body. Compost exits the worm through its tail end. This compost gives endless benefits for the ‘aina:  Nutrient soil, natural time relaease fertilizer, wonderful organic fertilizer, insect repellent, and disease repellent.  These worms are lifelong soil friends that don't talk back.  They just give and keep on giving!

Wormcyclers are available for purchase for just $60 to NCC members and friends.  Please contact Velma for more information.  Wormcyclers can make perfect gifts!
