Godly Play is an educational approach that helps children explore their faith through story, gain religious language, and to enhance their spiritual experience through wonder and play. Based on Montessori principles and developed using a spiral curriculum, the Godly Play method serves children through early, middle and late childhood and beyond.
Godly Play came to Nu‘uanu Congregational Church during the Summer of 2015 when we experienced God through six parables of Jesus. During the Fall of 2015, we created a Godly Play Room with the help of Boy Scouts Troop 201 and Aunty Peggy and Aunty Anne. So we begin our journey into Godly Play at the beginning of Advent.
