On September 7, 2008, members of Nu’uanu Congregational Church voted to call the Reverend Mary Paik to be their Senior Pastor. Pastor Mary, who recently relocated to Kailua with her husband, Dwight Morita, is excited about being in ministry at Nu’uanu, a congregation that is “open and diverse, that both honors its Japanese American heritage and welcomes all people; a congregation that embraces the challenges of the future and seeks to reflect and live out the ‘aloha spirit’ in its mission.”
She begins her ministry at NCC on November 30, the first Sunday of Advent!
